Help with EXCEL function/formula involving a range?

Here it is. In cell a1 I have PLUMS. In column C I have PLUMS listed in three cells. In the cells next to each is a number. I would like cell b1 to equal those three numbers. The three cells in column C that has PLUMS in it are though out the column. In the other cells are different fruits. I hope I gave enough information. Thank you and to all the fathers.....
